Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Flip Ding ("we," "us," or "our"), including the marketplace, blog, tournament notes, and membership features. By creating an account or otherwise using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account or use Flip Ding. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

Your account

• You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
• You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account, whether or not you personally took the action.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your affiliation with a person or entity isn't allowed.
• You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms.

The marketplace

Flip Ding is a venue that lets members list pinball machines and related items for sale and connect with potential buyers. Flip Ding is not a party to any sale between users — we don't buy, sell, own, inspect, authenticate, or take possession of any machine or item listed. Payment, shipping/pickup, and the terms of any sale are worked out directly between the buyer and seller, off-platform.

As a seller, you're responsible for:

• The accuracy of your listings — condition, price, location, and photos
• Having the legal right to sell the item
• Fulfilling any sale you agree to with a buyer

As a buyer, you're responsible for:

• Doing your own due diligence on a listing and seller before agreeing to buy
• Arranging and completing payment and shipping/pickup directly with the seller

We encourage using safe, verifiable payment methods and meeting in person for local transactions when possible. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any listing, or for any dispute, loss, or damage arising from a transaction between users.

Reviews

Reviews on Flip Ding can only be left by a buyer that a seller has specifically invited to review a completed sale — they're not open for anyone to post at any time. Reviews must be honest and reflect your actual experience. We may remove a review that violates these Terms, but we don't otherwise edit, verify, or take responsibility for the content of reviews, which reflect the opinions of the person who wrote them.

Paid memberships and donations

Premium membership tiers are billed monthly and processed by Stripe. You can cancel a subscription at any time; cancelling stops future billing but doesn't refund amounts already paid, except as required by law. One-time donations are non-refundable. Prices and available tiers may change; we'll do our best to give notice of material changes.

Content you post

You keep ownership of the content you post (listings, photos, reviews, blog comments, tournament notes, etc.). By posting it, you give Flip Ding a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content as part of operating and promoting the site. You're solely responsible for content you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.

You agree not to post content that:

• Is false, misleading, or fraudulent
• Infringes someone else's intellectual property or other rights
• Is harassing, hateful, or abusive toward another person
• Is spam, or unrelated commercial solicitation
• Violates any applicable law

Prohibited conduct

In addition to the above, you agree not to:

• Use the site for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the site except via the sitemap/llms.txt we publish
• Interfere with or disrupt the site or its infrastructure
• Circumvent the review-invitation system to post reviews for transactions that didn't happen

Intellectual property

The Flip Ding name, logo, and site design are ours. Other than the content users post, nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our branding without permission.

Disclaimers

Flip Ding is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, and we don't guarantee the accuracy of any listing, review, or other user-submitted content.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Flip Ding and its operators aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from a transaction between users, arising out of your use of the site.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Flip Ding at any time for violating these Terms or for any other reason, with or without notice. You may stop using the site and delete your account at any time.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use Flip Ding after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
